Transportations

Huangshan is undergoing a comprehensive upgrade of its transportation network, accelerating the development of a modern, multi-dimensional transport system aimed at becoming a regional comprehensive transport hub in eastern China, connecting Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Anhui provinces.

Highway:The Anhui section of the Huangqian Expressway has officially opened and is connected to the previously opened Zhejiang section of the Huangqian Expressway. It is understood that after the opening of the whole line of Mount Huangshan Qianfeng Expressway, the driving distance from Huangshan downtown to Chun'an in Zhejiang Province will be shortened by half from the original three hours.

Railway: In April 2024, the Chizhou–Huangshan High-Speed Railway commenced operation, marking Huangshan’s full entry into the high-speed rail era and solidifying its position as the fifth major high-speed rail hub in the Yangtze River Delta. In May of the same year, Huangshan partnered with China Railway (Shanghai) Investment Group to launch the first phase of the Tourism T1 Line project, creating a rail-based cultural and creative space that integrates tourism formats both inside and outside the train—pioneering China’s first “theme park on the rails.” In September, the "Beautiful Huangshan" branded high-speed rail train, the first cross-provincial circular service in the Yangtze River Delta connecting three provinces and one municipality, debuted at Huangshan North Station, linking famous scenic areas such as Huangshan, Jiuhua Mountain, and the West Lake, and fostering regional tourism integration.
Airport: Huangshan Airport is currently a 4D-class domestic tourism airport serving multiple flight routes across China. The airport continues to optimize its flight network and is planning further expansion and upgrades to enhance both passenger and cargo capacity, supporting Huangshan’s vision of becoming an international tourism hub.
