Recently, the Central Civilized Office released the candidates list of the new national civilized towns and villages , Hongcun Village of Yixian County,Fengxia Village of Tunxi District, Xixinan Village of Huizhou District, Changxi Village of Shexian County and Sanxi Village of Xiuning County, all belongs to Huangshan City, are shortlisted in the candidate list of the 6th National Civilized Towns and Villages.

Since August, 2020, the Central Civilization Office has deployed the 6th National Civilized Towns and Villages selection. After recommendations and applications from various cities and careful examination and verification, the Central Civilization Office has put forward a candidate list of 1,976 towns and villages. Among them, Anhui Province has 81 towns and villages on the list while Huangshan City has 5.
