Diplomats embark on 'Chinese Tour' at Mount Huangshan
The UN organized a Mount Huangshan tour as part of the 2025 China Tour event, with more than thirty diplomats from Austria, the United States, India, and other countries experiencing the mountain's jaw-dropping beauty.
France's Angelika Müller called the vista "magical and unlike anything on Earth", while Egypt's Reem Kamel logged 10,000 steps without noticing, lost in the shifting seas of cloud.
Amid the spectacle, David Evans, dressed for kung fu and cradling a guqin, struck poses beside the iconic Welcoming Pine. Fists flowed like water and notes floated like wind, drawing applause from passing hikers. Guides wove legends of each gnarled tree and crag, turning stone and air into dialogue.

Since 2016, the UN China Tour program has served as a bridge between cultures. Mount Huangshan's peaks carry that torch higher, offering the world a summit where nature and civilization clasp hands and continue their shared story.
