Recently, during a supplementary biodiversity survey in Yi County, Anhui Province, the investigation team documented the presence of Acanthacorydalis unimaculata, a provincially protected wildlife species classified under the second category of protection in Anhui.

Data indicates that Acanthacorydalis unimaculata is an aquatic insect endemic to China, found in clean stream environments such as those in Tianmu Mountain in Zhejiang Province and Qingcheng Mountain in Sichuan Province. As an indicator species for clean water, its survival status directly reflects the ecological health of river basins. Consequently, it was listed as a protected wildlife species in Anhui Province in 2023. The discovery of Acanthacorydalis unimaculata in multiple areas of Yi County demonstrates the excellent quality of the local water ecological environment.
